Retain Us. Retain Profits.
Ignorance of the law remains no excuse. But when bedrock
legal principles are unknowable without advanced training and experience,
perhaps
it should be. It’s one thing to get a speeding ticket when
you disobey the posted speed limit signs. It’s something
else altogether to get a speeding ticket when the signs are hidden
and unreadable.
Counsel Consulting Group attacks and resolves this
business paradox, focusing on the often incomprehensible, and often
debilitating,
risks of employment law claims and liabilities. The need for
our services
is most easily seen in the astounding number of six and seven figure
employment-related judgments routinely rendered against businesses
of all sizes and varieties (see The Mistakes
of Others). We combine
business and legal expertise to diagnose the potential trouble
spots, and to create “preventive law” solutions,
before the lawsuits and regulatory proceedings begin to drain
time and money. See The CCG Solution and the Services sections
of this website for details on how we do it.
CCG’S
TRAINERS AND CONSULTANTS
We are not new to this field. CCG’s trainers and consultants
have dedicated their professional lives to helping companies avoid
lawsuits and liabilities -- not in classrooms, but in the real world
of boardrooms and courtrooms, offices and factories, from Fortune
500’s to closely-held family businesses.
Most of our clients require the legal audit, management training,
and forms and procedures assistance that meets the Supreme Court’s
edicts, maximizes ROI, and minimizes the risk of personal liability
among officers and directors (see The Problem and The
CCG Solution). Our trainers and consultants have helped innumerable
companies achieve those goals.
In addition, many of our clients require more specialized services.
Counsel Consulting Group’s professional staff of consultants
and trainers have been there and done that. We have the ability to
bring focused expertise to the particular requirements of our clients.
For instance, for companies with an entrenched culture that increases
the risk of sexual harassment complaints, we provide the services
of trainers and consultants with, literally, decades of experience
in the field. For companies dealing with affirmative action and diversity
issues, we provide the services of trainers and consultants who bring
extensive government agency and private enterprise experience to
these unique issues. For companies concerned about compliance with
overtime requirements, we provide the services of individuals who
understand the arcane (and changing) legal issues and requirements.
Counsel Consulting Group also maintains a working relationship
with the law firm of Powell Trachtman Logan Carrle & Lombardo,
P.C. This allows us, as required by client needs, to draw upon the
legal expertise and resources of Powell Trachtman, which has made
employment law, and “preventive law,” a hallmark of its
practice. More information on Powell Trachtman is available at www.powelltrachtman.com.
